Jean-Marie Navetta
Director of Learning & Inclusion
Jean-Marie Navetta is the Director of Learning & Inclusion for PFLAG National, leading its Straight for Equality project which aims to invite, educate, and engage new allies in the effort to achieve full inclusion for people who are LGBTQ+. She is the author of four books on allyship and has educated more than 25,000 people through Straight for Equality in the workplace learning events. In 2021, Jean-Marie was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors and serves as treasurer for Waves Ahead, a Puerto Rico-based organization working to ensure equality and support for people who are LGBTQ+ on the island. Most importantly, Jean-Marie is living proof that philosophy majors can get real jobs.
Jamie Henkel
Learning & Inclusion Manager
Jamie Henkel is the Learning & Inclusion Manager at PFLAG National. She works with PFLAG chapters on ally engagement programming, cultivates Straight for Equality’s online presence, supports the development of new Straight for Equality publications and learning sessions, and is one of the program’s learning session educators.Jamie lives in Portland, OR with her cat and enjoys day hiking (but not backpacking) and everything else that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
